Recently, the Wynnum Manley Leagues Club undertook a massive overhaul of their premises. There was a lot of pressure to get the project done quickly to reopen the club without cutting corners. The Leagues Club hired Civil Quality Assurance for expert soil testing and earthworks on the project, working to strict deadlines.
The 11-million dollar project included almost doubling the existing clubhouse and improving the view of the upgraded field. The club is constructing a new cafe, reception, bar and gaming lounge, too. The current completion date for the club’s construction projects is early 2021.
Some of the things Civil Quality Assurance advised on include earthworks, civil quality testing, and thermal resistivity testing. We also helped with geotechnical investigations and advice on design and installation of a bridge works project on-site.
Additionally, we reported to both AS3798 and ISO 17025. This means that our civil quality testing is in keeping with national and international guidelines on civil testing and earthworks for commercial and residential developments.
It’s important to understand how the earth beneath your project will affect your project during and after construction. Understanding how soil reacts with foundation work, posts, pipes, and the like is critical to creating something that stands the test of time.
The Wynnum Manley Leagues Club was quickly able to reopen their doors and resume trading in their community. It’s great to be part of a project that supports a close-knit community and creates a place for the neighbourhood to gather.
